What to do on a Beautiful Spring Day...

When it is nice in the St.Louis area, one of my favorite things to do is visit one of our many free attractions. the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge is one of these sites. A few weeks ago we took a trip to the Old Chain of Rocks Bridge and took a walk across it. It is such a beautiful place. 

After we visited the bridge, we went to Bellefontaine Cemetery to see some of the gorgeous monuments there. Many famous people are buried here. It is such a great place to go for a walk and take photos. You can see some of the gorgeous monuments below that I photographed.  

Have you ever seen the movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil? These photos make me think of the opening scenes and ending ones in the cemetery. The monuments and stones are very similar. It's amazing the detail that some of them have! I was so impressed. They are each an art piece. 

If you ever come to St. Louis, I HIGHLY suggest visiting both of these places. They are both filled with history, which I love! Not only that, but absolutely beautiful! They aren't the typical places one would think to go when visiting St. Louis, but they are free, wonderful attractions if you would like some fresh air, exercise and gorgeous views.
