Something for my little boy

If you haven't figured it out, Lucky Girl Crafts Kits has some of the cutest kits jam packed full of fun goodies. April's kit was called "A Boy & His Toys" and it was great for making some things for Austin. I have made so many things for Renny over the past few months, I think he may have been feeling left out. So using this awesome kit, I decorated this tin that I had in my supplies. I don't remember exactly where I purchased the box, but I have had it for a while.

I used the kit to decorate the tin.

I added his name to the front of the tin along with a chipboard car that came in the kit. I used Mod Podge to adhere the patterned papers to the tin. The colors are so bright and fun.... and very geared toward a little boy. However, you could also use them for many other themes as well. So if you have a girl, I'm sure you could make this work for them as well!

Some of the solid colored paper was added along the sides of the tin with the trim over it. The orange and blue is such a great color combination.

For the back of the tin, I used some more of the same patterned paper in addition to one of the stickers from the kit. The two space themed chipboard pieces were already in my stash at home. They went so well with the theme and colors of this, that I added them. As you can see, I also added some ribbon from my stash in coordinating colors to the handle of the tin.

Austin now uses this for his baseball collection.....

He actually took it from my studio after it was finished before I had taken any photos of it! That's how excited he was to get it! LOL

As I was typing this up, I just realized I need to go finish getting Austin's soccer stuff together. He has a game this weekend and it's his dad's weekend so I need to send it with him there!! I'll post again later! Have more stuff to share! And some awesome news!
