Monday Monday...... time for another wonderful week. With the weekend we had, I was seriously looking forward to today! I plan on asking for tomorrow off so that I can stay home and make sure Moe gets his medications at the right times. And Keith will be home this morning, and Wednesday afternoon to help out. My brother will take care of this afternoon's administrations for us. Having to do this seriously is like having a human child at home. Sometimes I wonder if vets seriously believe that you can administer a whole syringe full of liquid medicine to a cat without letting any come out of his mouth. Not gonna happen I tell you. In addition, this cat just had surgery, so it's not like you can hold him down or anything. If any of you have any suggestions, I am WIDE open to them!! We are lucky if we are getting even a bit in him right now!
The kids are doing well with him. Yesterday Serenity and I laid down by him and took a nap. Really I took the nap with Moe and Serenity kept talking and waking me up while she was petting Moe. LOL It was cute. She meant well, I know this, but after 48 hours of being up at all hours on the phone with the ER vet, I wasn't in a mood to tolerate much. I needed the short nap that I got... it was very refreshing.
Anyway, enough about our Moe adventures and my lack of sleep this weekend. I'm sure you are all over it!
I'll get to the main reason I am posting today... to share this layout I created of Renny and Keith using one of my Studio Calico kits.
I took the photo with my iPhone at Brentwood Days. Remember the layout of Austin and his friend Quinten? This photo was taken at the same bumper cars... since Renny was nervous to ride alone, Keith was her driving partner. Talk about super cute!!!
A shot of the journaling...
Okay, so the story of these punched birds is kind of funny.... I was in my studio working on this layout when my brother, Lance came down and started grabbing my punches. He began punching various pieces of patterned paper... that weren't scraps!! So I told him to dive into my scrap drawer if he wanted to play with punches. He did, and ended up punching out a TON of these birds from a kraft and pink patterned paper. They looked really good when he tossed them on this layout and so I used some pop dots on them in the corner. Which reminds me, I still have about a hundred or so of these darn birds left!
Flowers I created using some punches I have.
This is all I have for today, folks! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!
