Lights at Night

One of my favorite things about Christmas and the holidays are the lights. I love to see all of the houses, buildings and parks decorated to the nines with beautiful lights! I remember when lights and decorations used to be pretty plain... now they are pretty elaborate. You can do some pretty fancy things with Christmas lights... and buy them too. I'm always amazed at some of the decorations I see during the holidays. We put lights up on our house every year, but I am happy that I don't have the electric bill that I know some people have! I am content to observe their homes, rather than do what they do! 

Every year during the holiday season we like to go around town and look at lights on houses along with displays if they are near where we live. There is a light display in Tilles Park which is near our home that we really enjoy going to. You drive through the park and look at all of the lights. They have special holiday music playing that you can tune into on your radio in the car. Or, if you are like us, you have the music on in the car and have the windows down as well because the kids have to hear it outside as well. Okay, I like to have the windows down too! I'm a big kid! 

I took some photos of the lights as we were going through the park this past Christmas season so that I could share them in a page. I finally got around to making this layout a few weeks ago. It's taken some time to finally make it, but I love how it turned out. Working with 4x4 photos is nice because you can fit multiple on a page without it looking odd. You can have them streamlined and neat. It's perfect for those who like Clean and Simple scrapbooking. 

Don't you love the bright colors?? Pinks, blues, reds and greens are so cute for a holiday page..... thanks to my Studio Calico kit, I had some great papers to work with!
