Living in the suburb of St.Louis that we live in has been a blessing. We are in a FABULOUS school district that has wonderful schools with great teachers. The kids both go to one of the two local elementary schools, and the one that they go to is a 2009 recipient of the National Blue Ribbon for Schools. It is also a Missouri School of Character as well as a 2011 National School of Character. It is one of only 43 schools in the Nation selected as a National School of Character. I am very proud to say that we are a part of this school family.
Something that I love about the school is how they update their website as often as possible, and the teachers do too. The art teacher is simply wonderful about this, and because she is, I have been able to get already scanned in pieces of artwork from my kids. I thought I would share some of Serenity's art with you.... it's surprisingly good! (I know, I shouldn't be surprised, right? Since I love art and creating? I'm not an artist that draws though... I'm a different kind of artist! I thought she would pick up on that, never realizing she could draw the way she can!)
What do you think of my little artist? Not too bad, if I do say so myself!

She is Very creative!! Art is an important part of every child's education, I think we (us crafty/arty blogger types) can all attest to how good it makes us feel and I'm sure your daughter feels good when she can make such colourful and beautiful pieces :)
