Wow, it has been so long since I have posted anything. I wish I could say it was something fun, something other than work that kept me away. But it wasn't. It's been work that has kept me away from so many things that I love. I love creating and it has not allowed me the time to create as often as I would like. I also haven't gotten much time with my family, so I have been trying to get that in before anything else.
Today I wanted to share a She Art Girl that I created a while back. I used some modeling paste and a Glimmer Mist mask to make her wings. The mask was a butterfly mask, and I just used the modeling paste on it instead of mists or paint. I love how the wings turned out.
I made this girls skirt shorter as well. I used a die cut scalloped piece of cardstock to make the skirt. The lace on the edge of her top was dyed using some Glimmer Mist since the only color I had of that lace was white.
"She had colorful dreams" is one of the phrases that Christy gave us in the class. I loved it and thought it went so well with this canvas. I have found that making the canvas or girl first is best.... I then choose the phrase, quote or words I want to say. Sometimes I just get going on a canvas in a totally different direction than I originally planned so this is a good way for me to work. :)
Here are some more close ups of the canvas.....
