Today was the first real day of the blizzard that we were expecting. Luckily, we are fully stocked at home, and I was able to stay home, taking off work. Keith stayed home as well. The first wave of weather that we got was ice... not fun. Finally tonight, we are getting the snow. And a lot of wind. Before the weather got worse though, we took the kids outside and had them slide down the driveway since there weren't any cars out. It is really the closest place to sled... until it is nicer out to go further.
These are just some of the photos I took today... enjoy!
You can see that some of the photos are from night time. I took those this evening after it started snowing. There is really a lot of ice on the trees and power lines. I just hope they all stay up and don't fall. I don't want to deal with a power outage right now.
What about where you live.... what is the weather like??

hey em! I got pics from the windows! lol I live in Oklahoma City where it just nailed us here.... the snow drifts and brutal below wind chills have my attention!
We are getting the brunt of it right now......snow like crazy and blowing (I keep thinking something is coming THROUGH the windows!).
Time to snuggle in today!
Hi Em!!
Thank you for your sweet comments over at Ninjas!! I appreciate that! Your kids are so cute! And your photographs are awesome.I'm guessing you are in Chicago area??? Here in Dallas, we are trapped inside our houses because DFW is covered in ice! The kids have been home from school for 2 days. We're in an apartment until we move to our house later this month, and here the cars are all stuck! No one can get up the incline to get out of the parking lot! Hopefully by Friday some of this will melt! I am from SF - I can't drive on ice!!! Nice to catch up with you! Stay well...xOxO
I love these images! It looks like so much fun! Should I say SNOW much fun?! My favorite shot is the lamplight through the frozen tree branches. Beautiful bling in that one!
We were all prepared for a blizzard here, everything is closed in preparation which is really rare, and it's not that bad actually. Where's the snow? LOL We didn't get the 18 inches they were predicting, maybe 7 or 8 inches. Pfft. hehehe
