I got it!

The camera of course! And I love it, just as I knew I would. I have been playing around with it, testing out the different settings and modes. I have a lot to learn, that's for sure. Luckily it came with a DVD and books to refer to.  As soon as I get the chance I'll post some pictures. Of the camera that is... after I work some more with it, I will post some of what I get taken. 

The first thing I want to try is Depth of Field. Beth our Photography expert at Simply Scrapping has a wonderful discussion on DOF that I have been referring to for information.  I haven't really had the free daytime hours to play with the camera yet, and that is really what I am waiting for. I would like some really good natural lighting to work with. 

Since I haven't had time for camera play, I also haven't had time for scrapbooking. I plan on getting some done tomorrow though I think. I have an altered board book started. It is covered and I have started working on the individual pages. I'm not sure if I'm happy with it right now. I'm feeling a bit iffy about it. I always get this way when I work on an altered project. Ugh.

Kids are at their dad's this weekend. I miss them. I will admit, when I dropped them off, I was pretty annoyed with them by then. They had fought and fought and finally Renny hit Austin with her Shrek Baby doll and gave Austin a bloody lip. This was on the way to their dads. They took that 25 minute trip and made it feel like 25 hours! I hate yelling in the car at them... I can't reach them to separate them, and when you are stuck in traffic, it is really hard to pull the car over and get out. Being along side the highway isn't very safe either. So I had to listen to them fight and fight, then finally yelled at them to stop. Austin tried taking Renny's doll and she got mad and swung it at him. It hit him in the face, primarily the lip which started to bleed. Then he was screaming and crying talking about dying.... way dramatic. My little drama king. Ok, I know, to him it was really bad, but I had the beginnings of a migraine and was ready to just drop them off with daddy for a while. When I get to that point of frustration, I would rather not have the kids around me.  I have a very short fuse. Anyway, he had calmed down by the time we got to Billy's and I got him cleaned up and happy before I left. I will be relaxed and calm when they come back on Monday morning.
