When I went to my parents about a month ago, I was fortunate enough to have my mom let me scan some of our old family photos. I found a bunch of pictures from when I was little. I haven't even begun to get all of them scanned. I had some wonderful Jenni Bowlin and Websters Pages that I was dying to use for a vintage look with the older photos. So when I got the opportunity to scan them from my mom I took it! This is why you will see more layouts from me incorporating these old family photos.
This picture is of my dad and me when I was a little less than a year old. I come from a family with two other sisters besides myself growing up and then my adopted sister came along. I have always been very close to my dad, closer than my other sisters I believe. I have always been able to go to him with anything, never afraid of what I might hear. My dad is someone who listens and is not quick to give his opinion. He does not judge. He may not always agree with the decisions I have made, but he has always been supportive of me. We have had disagreements, yes, but in the end they are quickly sorted out. We don't clash even though we have opposite personalities. I am definitely more like my mother which probably explains why my dad and I get along so well. He has been with my mother for over 35 years, and they are opposites. Opposites do attract. I don't know what I would do without my dad. I have friends that aren't as lucky as I am to still have their father around. I know that I am very blessed. One day, I know, he will no longer be around, and that is something that I can not bear to think about. However, with all he has taught me, I know that I will survive and live life the way he would want me too. I love you daddy!
