The day for patterned paper!

Do you ever create something and just aren't happy with it? No matter how many times you move things, or change the colors, it just isn't working for you?  To top it off, you HAVE to use a particular sketch, and there is a twist that you can ONLY USE patterned paper.... NO cardstock. Ugh. So, there is the dilemma that I was faced with for this assignment. And I had the worst time trying to get it right. I loved the sketch a lot, and know that I really could have rocked it had I not been as restricted... however.... this is what I created.

Serenity at soccer practice found a ball and wanted to play with it. Unfortunately, it was for the wrong sport, and when we told her, well, she wasn't too happy as you can see. A bit confused, as well as angry that we wouldn't let her play with it.

There was a parade before our annual Brentwood Days. Austin and Keith were in the parade, so I got to enjoy it with Renny. Boy did she have a blast!! She figured out that by waving at every float and group of people tha walked by she could charm them out of more candy. And it worked! She actually said to me, "Mom, if I wave and say hi to them, they will give me more candy!" LOL, I love it!

Both of these were done for the fourth sketch of the month of October for Simply Scrapping Crafts.

After looking at them over and over, they are ok, in my opinion, but still not what I was really wanting. Oh well, you win some and you lose some, right?

Hope you are all having a wonderful day!
