It's that time of year... for dressing up and getting candy!! For the kids anyway... I don't dress up for Halloween. It would be fun to, but we just never get the chance, or have the time.
Serenity practices all year for Halloween. So it seems, anyway. She has a plastic tub full of dress up clothes. One of the outfits is a really cute purple and black witches costume. It was actually my younger sister's and she gave it to Renny for her dress up tub. Serenity LOVES it!! She will get it out and go around the house posing and pretending to be a witch. Then she will have Austin take pictures of her while she models. LOL, it's really funny!
I created the layout below for Sketchy Saturday over at Simply Scrapping Crafts. This week was Week 4 for September! The twist for this week is to use ruffled or pleated paper in your project. Mine is the paper with the green teacups on it. I had to use the awesome Graphic 45 papers!!! They rock! I also have some other projects going with this that I can't wait to share with you!
The layout.... I used http://www.picnik.com/ to edit the photo.... I love how it turned out!
Closeup of the pleats/ruffles! I used a Martha Stuart punch for the edges and then pleated it!
Closeup of the characters that I cut from the paper. I used some pop dots to add dimension. It's really cool in real life!
Do any of your kiddos play dress up aside from Halloween? What do they like to be? What are their favorite costumes? I'd love to hear! Tell me!
Thanks for looking!
