Happy Friday Friends!!! I hope all of you are having a wonderful Friday! For most it is the last day of the work week... for others, like myself, the work never seems to end. I'm happy because this is my last day in Memphis for some Hampton Sales training. I have loved being here and learned so much in a short time, but I am ready to get home and see my family! I miss my babies!!! I wish I had had more time here, mainly for sightseeing reasons, but it's not so much fun doing tourist stuff alone... at least for myself. Besides, I have been so super tired after class that I just want to go back to my hotel and relax. Which is exactly what I have done!
On to the artsy stuff, right? You know you were waiting....
Below is my latest piece of work for Simply Scrapping Crafts. For the first time ever, I have created a layout only about my dad. There is a reason for this... I don't have many solo pictures of him. Most of the pictures that we have, are of him with my mom from their wedding, or him with the rest of the family, grandkids, etc. It's not that he doesn't like to have his picture taken, it's more that he is not such an outgoing person, and really doesn't put himself in the limelight. He isn't the type to pose. However, I managed to get some great shots of him for this layout. I was so happy!
I love my dad, and am a total daddy's girl. He loves all of his girls, and since he has four, well, he is VERY protective of us. He is a wonderful dad, grandpa and husband. He has worked so hard over the years, and still to provide for his family. I have so much respect for my dad. I wish I lived closer so that I could get to know him even better.
This layout was created for Sketchy Saturday's at SSC. Amy, one of our awesome DT created the sketch for the week. I don't do a lot of multiple photo layouts as you know, so it's always a challenge for me when creating with more than one photo. I love a challenge though

Here is a closeup.... I used a cup for the circles on here... I used some crackle paint to make them. I love the way it turned out!
Thanks so much for looking!

AWE...I love it! As I do all your work! I've hit a serious dry spell! Have not scrapped in a month! I feel guilty! Part of it is no pictures to scrap. Ironic, coming from a photographer, huh! I'll get to printing some now though & that might give me a kick start.
I love everything about this layout.
What a fabulous tribute layout Em! I just adore that first photo...you can see the kind heart and warm spirit in his eyes. Love this!
I miss you and hope you have a safe trip back home. I know your babies and Keith are missing you big time!!! Big hugs to you Sistah!!!
