Guest Designer at Berry71Bleu!!

Hi friends! Today I have a special project to share I created for a  Guest Designer post for Berry71Bleu using the fantastic "Autumn is in the Air" October Challenge from Marivic along with my Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate and some Speedball Block Printing Ink.

Using the Gelli Plate is fun on paper, but using it, along with the Block Printing Ink on other surfaces can be just as fun. You can see how Marivic used them on fabric pages HERE,  and they turned out gorgeous!
I used a wood album from Genuinely Jane Studios and created my monoprint directly onto the album pages after first priming the surface with gesso.

All of my pages are a mixture of  first pulls from various paint combos and stencils. I did several layers on each of them with the exception of the second set of pages below.

This is a combo of two different first pulls. I used the same three Speedball Block Printing Inks on all of my pages. I did add some acrylic ink to tone down some of the colors on a couple pages. This gave me more of the fall hues I wanted similar to the inspiration board on the pages.

The combo of the Gel Printing Plate, Block Printing Inks and GJS Album created a fantastic look that I will be creating over and over again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the "Autumn is in the Air" Challenge and having this chance to play with the Berry71Bleu team and share some of my work with you. Have a great day!

I also created this short slideshow of some of the steps I used with the Speedball Block Printing Inks and Gel Printing Plate on the wood album (this is not the same album I used, but another):
