BOO Cat Canvas with GJS

Hi there! Today I have a Halloween themed canvas to share with you today using the Cat Puzzle from Genuinely Jane Studios.  The entire canvas uses products you can find in our retail store, so with a canvas of your own, and these items, you could easily recreate this yourself!
Boo Canvas 1
Working with the Cat Puzzle was fun... I painted each individual piece with Black Gesso and then splashed some Glamour Dust over it for sparkle before the gesso dried.
Boo Canvas 2
Can you see the words on the background of the canvas? Book pages. I used pages from books that were going to be thrown out before I saved them to re-purpose them. I used an acrylic paint wash over the pages so you can still see the words.
Boo Canvas 3
The moon is by Basically Bare, and from the Celestial Shapes set. I painted it with Mustard Seed Crackle paint and used some Liquitex Acrylic Ink in the cracks so they would be more prominent.
Boo Canvas 4
My tree is cut from Sticky Back canvas, which we also carry in the store, and I personally LOVE! I free handed my tree and then cut it out! Dylusions spray in Melted Chocolate and brown acrylic paint were used to color it before adhering to the canvas. The Maya Road wooden crow is painted with CIP paint in Coal. That's why it has such a nice shimmer to it.
Thank you for stopping by today to see my Bootiful canvas. ;) Enjoy your Friday and weekend!
Remember there is still a sale going on at GJS:
Sept Sale
We are still working on the website, and it does look wonky, but you can still shop!

Hi Emily! My name is Karen and I'm the November Guest Designer at Genuinely Jane Studios. I'm SO super excited to get my book and start on my project for my GDT spot. I haven't heard much of anything from anyone on the team since being accepted, and just hope I'm not missing anything. I want to get to know everyone and do an awesome job for GJS. I also would LOVE to have you play along and share your art in our challenges at my challenge blog, Word Art Wednesday, if you would like to. Our challenges are weekly (starting every Wednesday). Hope you will stop by at

Please let me know if there's anything else I should be doing. I'm looking forward to creating something special with the items I receive. I also have several other products from GJS so I can't wait to use them.
Take care and God bless!
