Welcome to the Genuinely Jane Stuios(GJS)/Creative Inspirations Paint(CIP) Blog Hop! If you came from Kendra's blog then you are in the right place. If not, and you would like to start at the beginning, please head over to the Creative Inspirations Paint Blog Here!
Before we get to the good stuff, let me give you a little info on each of these two awesome companies:
Genuinely Jane Studios manufactures small and medium size wood mini-albums for mixed media, scrapbooking and altered art in many shapes and sizes. All of the albums are hand made right on site in their Central Missouri facility. In addition to their albums, they also carry other art supplies in their online store.
Creative Inspirations Paint, our other company in this team up manufactures non-toxic, water based, translucent, shimmery paint that can be used for scrapbooking, card making, mixed media, altered art and more. They also carry embossing powders, glitter and UV resin. Using the paints is as simple as "Shake, Open and Play!" The paints are some of the most vivid you will find on the market and made in Washington State.
All of the designers from both teams have joined together to show you what can be created using the albums and paint! Be sure to check both the Genuinely Jane Studios and Creative Inspirations Paint websites to see all of the wonderful products!
For my project I used the GJS Arrow Album (G017) along with lots and lots of CIP products!
As you can see, I flipped the arrows to point up so they look like houses! I used various CIP paints to cover the houses before adding patterned paper and more paints. I used some rub ons and a sketch pen for some detailing and doodles. Modeling paste and some letter stencils were used to make the letters for the word home. CIP paint in Fairy Dust was added to the letters for some more shimmer.
There are stamps galore on this canvas from various manufacturers. I have some Tim Holtz, Unity, Viva Las Vegas and more on here. I made the background using patterned paper, acrylics, Dylusions spray, and more CIP paints. CIP has some awesome embossing powders which I used on the roofs of a couple of the houses, as well as on the "This is My Happy Place" saying at the top of the canvas.
As you can see, a LOT of stuff went into this canvas! I'm a huge fan of using the GJS albums for wall decor and other mixed media projects rather than just a mini album. I do the same with my CIP products... I use them for EVERYTHING!!
Here are the products from both companies used in my project today:
GJS: Arrow Album (GJS017)
CIP: Green Olive, Buttercup, Antique Silver, Onyx, Tan, Garnet, Rustic Red, Evergreen, Turquoise, Sky Blue and Fairy Dust paints
Deliquesce embossing powders in Fine Black and Super Sparkle Red
and
Jeweled Inspirations SS20 Siam
Like what you see? Well, guess what? There are a couple of great prizes being given away at the end of this hop by both companies!
GJS - Gift Certificate for Wood Albums valued at $25
CIP - 5 paints, 5 embossing powders OR glitters (or a mix of the two) AND a bottle of the new Resinesense
