Good Morning my friends! I wanted to drop in and share the latest project I created for my daughter's room using some wonderful products from Your Memories Here.
After the first framed canvas was created, I decided I wanted to do a butterfly theme to all of the frames. Basically, there will be a butterfly, part of a butterfly, or several butterflies in every canvas that I create for Serenity's room. I plan on hanging them all together on the same wall.
Similar to this, except not as a headboard:

And so, I present my next framed canvas in the series....
I fussy cut the flower punch out from the Pastiche Prima paper and the green background is the backside to the Prima Just Us Togetherness paper. The flowers were decoupaged on using Helmar's Decoupage paste, which is AWESOME. I replaced some of my paper leaves with Prima fabric ones to add texture. I used some Faber Castell Gelato's in red and a Golden color on the two different colored flowers. This, mixed with some shimmery paint created a lovely effect and texture on the flowers. It gives them a painted look. I think I will use some more Gelato's on the leaves as well to keep the painted texture look. :)
Supplies Used:
Prima: Pastiche - Butterfly Wings
Prima: Lovely Fabric Leaves - green
Unity Stamps
StazOn Ink

I took some close up shots of various parts of the canvas which you can see below.
I also wanted to share some photos that I promised you from our Ohio trip.... I totally flaked on sharing them earlier. Sorry about that!
Near Keith's parents there are a couple of historical covered bridges. We took the kids to see one of them, called the Mull Covered Bridge. It was really pretty...
On Saturday, Keith and I went to Cleveland, while his parents took the kids to the lake. We had a fantastic time.
Right by the pier by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the William G. Mather Steamship, which is a museum. It was pretty neat to see.
Next was the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. I love the design of the building!!
Outside of the Hall were some awesome Guitar sculptures... Keith and I picked out some of our favorites...
After the Hall of Fame we went to the Lake for a bit before we had to go back to the city for the ball game. I have never seen the ocean, so Lake Erie is the largest body of water I have been to, and I always think it is the best thing!
The baseball game was the last stop in Cleveland for us, and it was fantastic! There was a fireworks show right after the game, and the show was in sync to Beatles music. Not to mention, the Indians actually won the game, so we were pretty stoked!!
My apologies for all of the photos, but I really wanted to share!! Thanks for stopping in and putting up with all of the pics, if you even made it this far!! See you soon!!
