For this weeks project I decided to start on something I am doing for my daughter's room. I've decided to redecorate. In the process of looking for things to put in her room, I found some vintage, shabby frames. Immediately I knew what I would do.
This project is super easy, and can be done cheap and with a few products from the Your Memories Here store:
I used the following from the store for this particular frame:
I also used:
Black Ink pad
Modeling Paste
Gesso
Scissors
Sketch pen
Box cutter or Craft knife
Canvas board
Decorative Frame
Here is what the frame and canvas looks like when finished...
I've posted full instructions on the Your Memories Here Blog if you would like to know exactly how I crated this look. :)
I think I will make a few more of these framed quotes for Serenity's room. Obviously not the same quote... LOL. When I purchased the frame, I purchased several at once. It was a lot of them on Etsy. (I love shopping there!) I think there are a few others from the lot that would look great in similar colors and styles. I'll keep you updated on whether I do them or not.
It is just a super simple project that you can create for really cheap with a few things from the store plus stuff you may already have at home!
I will admit, I wasn't sure I would be able to finish this project today and get it posted... we went out of state for this weekend to Ohio to see Keith's family. We had a great time. The kids really had a blast, especially when Keith's parents took them to Lake Erie and the beach. They got to swim in the largest body of water they have ever seen. Neither myself, nor my children have ever seen the ocean. Lake Erie is the largest body of water we have seen or played in... so even I get excited when Keith takes me there! He said that he thinks it is so neat to see me get excited over the lake, which he grew up close to and tends to take for granted. He said he looks at it a bit differently now. Remember, I grew up with cornfields around me.
This was a BIG deal to me when we went to Cleveland. I liked it better than the baseball game and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
I have some more pictures from our trip to share... I still need to edit them for next time!
Thank you for stopping by today and joining me for my project today!
