JYC - Dec 7

Good morning and Happy Monday to you! There are less than two weeks left until Christmas! Wow.... time flies! Today I wanted to share my December 7th page from my JYC album. The 7th was all about lists, and your take on them.

I'm not going to lie.... I absolutely am awful when it comes to lists! I will generally start one but never follow up on it! At least on paper! I finish it, and check it in my head, but not on paper. I'm trying to be better about it.

For this page I used a Kraft envelope and put my list in it. I actually have some more lists that I am working on that I plan on putting in the envelope as well. I can just pull out the lists and take them with me where I go if needed. Like I say in my journaling... we shall see how this works out!

On another note, my little man's birthday was yesterday! He turned 8 years old!! I can't believe it!! I would have posted something yesterday, but we were busy getting ready to go to my parent's house, and then we were in Illinois for the rest of the day. We had a great time. Austin was very happy with his gifts. And with his cake. I'm not going to lie, I did make the cake, and it is what I call a Cake Wreck!! LOL It originally was supposed to be a Christmas tree, but it just didn't look like a normal Christmas tree when it was done. My brother kindly referred to it as a Dr. Seuss tree, like from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. So we just said it was Dr. Seuss inspired! LOL I'm terrible! However, the colored layers turned out really well!

Here are a few pictures.....

Look at how he has grown!!! He was so adorable as a baby, and as an eight year old too!!

Austin also lost another tooth on his birthday. He was super excited. Unfortunately I think we lost the tooth somewhere between Papa and Grandmas house and our's. I don't think the tooth fairy will care if we leave a note for her explaining though, do you?? ;)

I hope you all have a great day!!!

awwww.....happy birthday to your little man! :) I love your JYC book. I got so frustrated with mine, that I just went to digital.....I so admire your work in yours; it is really, really lovely. :) Oh, and thank you so much for reading my long diatribe on Christmas shopping. It is so nice to have someone understand. <3

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Love the idea of making lists. I have an envelope that was included in my mini book & I was wondering how I was going to use it. A list may make an appearance. I like the cake! Very Dr. Seuss & fun!

Emily, TOTALLY know what you mean about making lists! I have dozens of them scattered about in dozens of different books/journals/pads, but I usually check things off in my head.
