I turn 29 on January 17th. I'm not quite sure how I feel about this. 28 was rough. A lot of stuff happened this year that just wasn't good. I'd rather move on into 2012 at this point and start anew.
I will be one year away from 30. I hear horror stories about turning 30. I can NOT believe that it is really that bad. My belief is that it's what you make of it. Only you can make it bad, right?
I've decided since 28 wasn't the best age for me, that I will make 29 great. There have been a lot of people in the blog world who have created Bucket Lists for certain ages. You know, the things to do before you hit a particular age? I think I will do that for 29. For some reason it sounds like a good idea. What do you think? It can't be a bunch of expensive stuff, like visit another country or something, and must be doable on our tight budget. I think I can manage that.
So, I made this layout about me at 28. The journaling explains how 2011 wasn't a good year for me. Short and simple. I'll make other layouts going into it more, but I really wasn't up to explaining everything.
I just like that I am happy in the photo. I actually look good! I do believe that it was a good day when I took this photo. Not many of those. Maybe it wasn't smart to put a happy photo on here, I don't know. I probably should stop guessing myself though....
Any of my friends who are 30 or over.... how was it for you??

Don't worry about thirty. I still felt young then. It was 35 that hit me hard. You know, it's closer to 40 and your body starts showing those signs of aging....Oy!

Being 30 is not bad at all! I turned 30 in April, and the only bad thing is having to check the "30-34" box instead of the "25-29" box when surveys ask your age :) In fact, this year has been one of my favorite years (it helps that my little girl was born this year, I think :))
I hope that your 29th and 30th years are filled with joy and laughter. I think you have the right idea, "it's what you make of it".
Don't worry about turning 30! It was the most liberating time of my life!!! I dyed my hair bright pink and just went with it :) in 2012 i turn 40 and I'm really looking forward to it! Your LO is beautiful and bright! Lets hope next year will be a good one for you :) Px
