Guess what??! You will never believe it! I actually got some creating done the other day! Hooray!! I'm so proud of myself! I completed two of the prompts from Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party! In addition to completing a layout for each prompt, I also completed a card as well following each prompt and using the same products I did for the layouts. I had fun doing this and think I will do it from now on. Making a card or two with the scraps I have left over is a fantastic way for me to get rid of the scraps and not have more piling up in my scrap drawer.
Today I am sharing my project from the 6th prompt of the Party which is about using a printed element on your work. I chose a digital stamp of a cupcake and printed it on patterned paper as well as some Core'dinations embossed cardstock. I love how the cupcakes turned out!!
I absolutely get a kick out of the picture of Renny in this layout! I love that face she is making. What a ham!
Here is the card I created from the same digital image. I just used some Kraft cardstock, added the embossed Core'dinations cardstock (after I sanded it some more), the cupcake with an extra heart on top and a scrap piece of ribbon I had. Oh, and of course the message.
I can't wait to send it to Keith's mom...she always loves getting a handmade card, and appreciates the effort that gets put into them. She has saved every card I've made for her. It makes me happy inside!
I apologize for being a bit sketchy this week with my posts.... work was busy this weekend and the guests kept me on my toes! Not to mention I didn't have much to share until the other day!
What creating have you been doing?? Share your links in the comments! I'd love to stop by and give you some love!
