Loves the Only House - Pretty Paper Party

Today's layout I have to share is another I created for Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party. The party is almost over and we are on the last part of it, but I am still behind and trucking along with the prompts! 

In prompt eight, Shimelle discusses using a neutral cardstock with your patterned papers. In this case, I chose a very light tan for my cardstock with pink and yellow as the main colors in my patterned papers. 

The pink heart paper is by Heidi Swapp and the yellow hearts are by Sassafras Lass. The flowers are by Sassafras Lass as well. In addition I used some Chalk Glimmer Mist with my heart stencil to put some hearts on the neutral cardstock. I took yellow and pink paint along the sides of the layout to frame it. The colors look so cute together. A picture really doesn't do this layout justice... it's much better in person! 

Yesterday was Austin's last soccer game. Now it's time to find something else for him to participate in. I'm hoping we can get him in the indoor soccer league. He seems to have a knack for playing and he really likes it too. I love going to his games and watching him and his team play. It's only getting better as they get older!  They didn't win yesterday's game, but Austin had a blast. He was already asking when he can play soccer again! 

After the game, we stopped by the store to pick up some items to take to my parents. We haven't seen them in a while and since I had the weekend off, decided it was the best time to go see them. Not only that, but the weather was absolutely gorgeous this weekend! It's been windy, but other than that the temperature was perfect! Originally we were going to cook dinner, but my mom was already making dinner when we got there which was a nice surprise! The kids had a blast playing with their Aunt Bette... she is really good with them. 

So that's what went on with us this weekend! I also finished some more layouts and a mini album that I will be sharing soon!
