Crazy Daisy - Pretty Paper Party

Do you quilt? I don't. I have no creative ability whatsoever when it comes to a sewing machine or a stitch. I can do basic stitches on my layouts, and cross stitch if needed, but other than that, nada. Somehow I feel like that creative part of me never developed. The part about fabric that is!!

So I'll admit I was pretty afraid when I saw that prompt 11 involved quilting with paper. I don't mind trying new things, but since I know how much I stink at working with fabric, well, I assumed that if I tried to quilt with paper it would be the same. I was wrong! It wasn't bad...and it didn't kill me!

I used some Basic Grey papers and embellishments to create this layout. I'm loving the bright colors. I starting by punching out several squares from each style of patterned paper. I then cut the squares into four small triangles and pieced them all back together into a large square, quilt style. I turned the square on an angle to get a diamond. I think it turned out okay! I had some of the smaller triangles left over so I used them on the top half of the left side of the layout to make it flow better. What do you think? Not too ugly, right? 

I'm really looking forward to the next share I have.... it's a mini album I created! I created it for the Pretty Paper Party as well, and it's super cute! Well, I think so anyway! I stitched it together myself! (Basic hand stitching!!!)
