Batter Up because You are Special! - Pretty Paper Party!

Hello to my fellow party goers! I hope you are all doing well! I'm trying to visit as many of your blogs as I can get to when I am not sleeping, spending time with the family or crafting! If you are in Shimelle's class with me and I haven't been by your blog yet, please link me up! I love following more blogs! More inspiration!!

Anyway, today's project was created using Prompt 7 from the party I chose to keep my background paper bright and use lots of blues and greens. If you look closely all of the patterned papers that I chose have white in common. Each one of them have white, rather than a cream base to them. Just another trick I learned about choosing papers from the class! (I love learning new tricks!!)

As far as the patterns I worked with, I chose to use 1 polka dot pattern, 1 alpha or "other" pattern and 3 striped patterns. I used a mix of manufacturers when picking the papers. Surprisingly, I felt more comfortable going outside of ONE particular line! I did it! Thanks Shimelle

Spring and fall are such a great time of year here in the St. Louis area. The weather just seems perfect! It's the perfect weather for playing baseball outside! I know I have used some of these images, well similar ones, for other layouts, but I just want to get various shots of these times with the kids on several pages. Not only that, but I have promised myself that I will continue to use the photos that I have already printed out first before I get any more printed. I got them printed for a reason, so I better damn well use them!

As I mentioned before I created a card to go along with the layout and the prompt.... here it is!

This card is not my favorite... I am thinking about making another with these papers and colors.... just to see if I can change it up and make something that calls out to me! It's nice to love what you make! I'm not asking that I LOVE it, but at least really like it!

Best wishes for a beautiful day where you live!!! Make it a great one!

Hi Emily, I love the bright colours on your layout and card. I have to admit that cards are something I really struggle with.
Thank you for your comment on my blog, you are more than welcome to use my image and link me up, I would love it if you joined in. I'm a follower now btw so it'll be great to see your crafting. I'm definitely struggling to find time for Pretty Paper Party other than to read the prompts, but i've learned so much from the class too. Helen :)
