Why so Serious?? Pretty Paper Party

I decided that I would dive back into creating some layouts this next month or two, so in order to be inspired and get some ideas and help, I signed up for Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party Class. We are three prompts in, and this is my project for the first one.

The first prompt was about using paper strips on your page, namely your scraps. Well, I have a ton of those!! I normally use them on my canvases. :) They work really well for them!

I had done a canvas project with the Jenni Bowlin papers I got a few weeks ago from Crafty Steals and since there were some scraps left over, I thought I would use them. I really like the colors of these papers. Very cute!

I used the scraps as a base for my photo. It's funny, this project would also work well for the second prompt which is about using only patterned papers on your layout. LOL I hadn't even looked at that prompt yet when I made this. Then I looked at the prompt today and laughed because apparently I was a step ahead of myself and didn't know it!

I don't know what the weather is like where you live, but it is yucky here! It has been raining for the past three days, and tonight is the first game of the World Series here in St. Louis. I just hope that it doesn't keep raining. I would really like to see the game. Or at least catch glimpses of it while I am working tonight at the hotel!
