Home is Where the Heart is

I thought I would share a canvas that I created for my Etsy Shop. I actually ended up selling this canvas to a neighbor! Well, an old neighbor who moved across the river, but he's still a neighbor to me! I was stoked that he wanted this canvas because it really didn't get many views or hits in my shop. This was one of my favorite home decor items that I made, and wasn't even originally going to sell it. However, my walls were really starting to get crowded!

I used some Glitz Designs papers that I got from HappyNScrappin' for the background along with some acrylic stamps and paints for texture. Acrylic paint was used around the edges of the canvas to give it a border. I really didn't want to use such bright colors on this canvas like I normally do. Maybe that's why this one wasn't such a popular one? I don't know.

I created a canvas out of paper and distressed the edges with sandpaper. The letters are some of the hundreds of Thickers that I have on hand. :)

The heart is a piece of felt that I Mod Podged down and recovered to harden it. It really darkened the red felt by doing this.

Another angle....
I hope you all are having a fabulous week... it's almost over!! Are you ready for the weekend??

I would definitely buy a creative art piece like yours if you were my neighbor! ;-)
