A very famous quote that many people know. It also has other forms as well... I've heard it said with the word Love instead of Live. Either way, it is a great quote that so many people love.
I actually saw the quote on the wall at my friend Mark's house. He has some of those vinyl wall decals with the quote. When I saw it one day as I was over there, it really got me wanting those words of wisdom hanging in my own home.
There is a little more to this piece though... I actually created the piece before I added the words. It never was going to have words on it originally. I honestly wasn't sure what I was going to do with this piece at all. It was one of those times when you are working on a project and get partially finished, but then stuck.

The strips are fabric strips from a bundle of fabric that I got at Wal-Mart. I really liked the colors of this fabric bundle. Yellows, blacks, greys and whites look great together.
I used the fabrics the same way I would papers. I added some paper doilies over the strips along with stamps, paints, flowers, buttons and pearls. Some glimmer mist was added for some sparkle.
After I completed the canvas, I had no clue what to do so I asked my friends on Instagram. They kindly helped me with some constructive comments and let me know a quote or some words would really finish off the canvas. They were right. It looks great with the quote.
I also added a few flower rub ons along with some doodling around the quote and in various spots on the canvas.
Even though the canvas started out without words, it turned out great in the end. Friends can be such a great help when it comes to assisting in ideas for your creations if you trust them! It's funny, I had the quote in my head for a long time, but had not originally intended it for this canvas. It kind of just happened that it worked out in the end!

Hi Emily! I love your canvases. Very creative. I've been wanting to try creating some but I can't come up with an idea yet. Maybe I'll work up the courage by looking at yours.

The fabric pieces with the flower embellishments were perfect girlie!! I have never done one ...but I know where I can go if I need the inspiration :)
