Coffee time!!

If you know me, and know me even fairly well, you know I have a twisted obsession with coffee. I must have it daily, or I will whither and die. I know it. ;) If I do not have at least three cups in me every morning, my day will not go well. I've tested this, so I know! 

Because of my coffee love, I decided to create this canvas with it's own cup of coffee. I created it in my traditional layering and texturing style. Vintage book pages were used for the background in addition to the normal acrylic paints, stamps and texturing items. 

The coffee itself, is actually cork that I cut and then used heavy body acrylic paint on so that the coffee had some texture to it., The cup is patterned paper over some cork which I sanded, stamped and painted on in various places. I used some india ink markers and a sketch pen to trace around it all and added the word "Coffee" at the bottom using Sassafras Lass stickers.
