WARNING: Picture Heavy Post!!!
Visiting my parent's farm is something that I love to do when I just need to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city area. I don't actually live downtown or anything, but it's city enough. My parents, on the other hand live on a farm in the middle of the country outside a small town in Central Illinois. You FEEL like you are in the country when you are there. I have been other places that my friends call "country" but they are nothing like this.... just take a look and see!
Not your normal street sign... just a country road sign!
Mouflon sheep that my dad raises. They are so beautiful.
Would you believe there are over 20 cats on the farm?! Crazy, I know! It all started when one stranger dropped off three pregnant cats to my parent's farm. I've asked my dad about getting the cats spayed or something, but to take care of that many cats would be so expensive! If any of you know of a really cheap or free place near Carlinville, IL that spays/neuters cats please let me know!
The kids had a blast with their Papa who pulled them around in the wagon.
They went up and down the hill. Papa wouldn't let them go by themselves. He was worried. See... more cats!
At the bottom of the driveway...
Papa has a garden of his own roses. They are gorgeous, and smell divine!
More of Papa's roses.
My youngest sister Bette (pronounced Betty) and one of the many cats. :)
Cat. (Gee, ya think?)
Some of the Mouflon rams. Their horns will eventually curl around in a spiral. They are a hunters dream!
Papa also has more of the sheep out on the pasture.
There are five ponds on the farm. We LOVE to fish!!!
One of the pregnant ewes.
Part of the herd.
Running.
This one is a pet of my sisters. So friendly!
Someone got a little nosy, don't you think?? LOL
Hope you enjoyed the pictures and can see why I LOVE to hang out on the farm when I need to get away. It's like a mini-vacation!
Enjoy your day my friends!!!
