For a special teacher

Thought I would try this from my iPhone today... Keeping my fingers crossed it looks okay.

This past week we had open house at school for both of my babies. Austin is in second grade this year and Serenity in kindergarten. They will both be in school! My babies are growing up!

Open house was interesting, to say the least. Renny had a meltdown and Austin wouldn't focus. Renny told her teacher that her and Austin were lazy and preferred to watch tv and movies all day rather than go to school. Yikes! You can imagine how I felt! Not to mention my expression!

Luckily Renny has the same teacher Austin had and she is the best. I love this lady so much. After that encounter I went home and made this for her.

I used a Henry Adams quote on the apple. Many of the techniques I used are ones I learned over the summer. I think she will like it. I can't wait to give it to her.

Here are the close ups:

Thanks for looking!! Have a great one!

Oh Em, that story about what Renny said is too funny - kids say the darnedest things for sure! She was probably hoping the teacher would say it was okay to stay home and not come to school!

Love that apple you made for her teacher, and what a thoughtful gift! I love the texture of the apple, but I can't tell what it is - is it little loops of paper?

Anyway, I love it! I wish I was as creative and had your energy! Big hugs!
