Make a Wish... it's your birthday!

I never thought that my life would get so crazy after getting a job again, but it has! Don't get me wrong, I'm happy... I love my job, it's just I am not used to having a schedule that is all over the place. For the past four years, I had pretty much had a set schedule since I was a manager. Now, I work shifts all over the place. It's a nice change though. It keeps me busy. Today I have off, which is nice. The next two mornings I will be up early in the AM for my shifts. I prefer working in the morning honestly, because it allows me more time with the kiddos. Morning, or overnight shifts are my preference. 

Because work has me so busy, I have not had much mojo or time when it comes to creating. I am actually taking a leave from my DT work at Simply Scrapping Crafts right now, since this is the hotel's busy season. I had to to this last year as well. It's not the most fun, but definitely for the best. 

On a lighter note I wanted to share this layout I created using some Glitz Design products that can be found in the HappyNScrappin' store. I used the Hoopla collection to make this layout of Austin on his birthday. The collection is currently on sale over at the store.:) 

I kept this simple with minimal embellishments and some layering in the center of the layout. I love the cake that is on the patterned paper, so I added some Liquid Pearls and Stickles to bring out the various layers in the cake. 

Pop dots were used on the number 7. It is actually a sticker that came in the collection which I adhered to an old milk cap and then applied. Those milk caps can be used in so many ways, and not just for vintage layouts!
