For the second day of this course, Shimelle discussed having a private or public blog. Heaven knows there is so much out there over the internet these days, if you are public, you take that chance of having your images, information and who knows what else stolen from your blog.
When I first started this blog, it was completely private. I only shared it with a few close friends, and even then, I had quite a few of my posts set to be private. It was more of a diary for me. I didn't really know the potential an open blog had. Now I do.
After I started scrapbooking, I realized that if I wanted to gain some attention, or at least make a few more friends, I needed to open my blog to the public, and maybe keep some of my personal stuff out of the blog. I still do blog about some personal things, but not a lot. I would rather my blog mainly be about my projects... I like to include a story about the pictures in them if I have the time, but that doesn't always happen.
I don't know... maybe it would help if I added more personal stuff. This is something that I struggle with. I am a pretty open person for the most part.... just not over the world wide web. I can do it in person, just not this way.
I supposed I could start sharing some of my hotel stories here again. I did that at one time, and they seemed to be a hit. They aren't exactly personal, but it's a start.
I'll figure it out... I want to have a public blog where I can share SOME private or personal stuff, but not have it all over the place.

I know what you mean... but i have a ton of family members that love watching the kids 'grow up' before their eyes... and they visit my blog frequently... so public it is for me! lol! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
Em...omg...i love your new blog art! the balloons are FABULOUS! LOVE IT!!!!!! I enjoy reading all of your stories that you post too....you do post a few here and there ;)
