Happy Pickin' for some Mid-Week Mojo

Traditions are so much fun, especially ones that involve your family and doing something for a particular time of year, or holiday. We started one the past couple of years that involves going to Brooms Orchard, which is near my parent's farm in Illinois. We try to go there around mid-October so that we have our pumpkins in time to carve for Halloween.

Brooms has pumpkins, squash, apples, cider, games, animals and so much more there. It is great for a family outing. We normally make a day of it and drive up mid-morning to Illinois to my parent's farm and then head over to Brooms not long after. Keith and I take the kids to pick pumpkins with one of the many wagons, and then after we pay for our pumpkins and get some fresh apples to take home, we buy ourselves some cider and kettle corn and watch the kids play on the little playground that's on the farm.

As you can see, Austin loves picking out his own pumpkins. I admit, it is a blast to go out there and find the right ones. I created this layout using the Homemade Happiness kit from Lucky Girl Crafts. It is our March kit. I created this for Mid-Week Mojo, which you can find on the Lucky Girl Crafts Blog every Wednesday. Each of our DT creates something special to share with you and get you inspired for the middle of the week, since we know that making it through the week can be tough sometimes. It's nice to get a little bit of inspiration mid-week I think. :)

Below are some close ups of the layout. For more information, please go to the full post over at the blog

Thanks for looking! Enjoy the rest of your afternoon!!!!
