I created this wall hanging for Austin's room using the Lucky Girl Crafts Kit "Kid at Heart" February Kit. I found a great quote by Charles Dickens that I used on the top half of the hanging. I love how this turned out. It looks so cute hanging on Austin's door. He really likes it too.
I kept it simple, with minimal embellishments... just the flower and the stars on the top half of the hanging. The ric rak was a last minute decision to use instead of ribbon when it was time to attach the two pieces. I like the way it looks compared to ribbon. :)
On a personal note, I start my new job tomorrow! Yay!!! I am really excited, and kind of nervous too! It has been over four years since I have had a new job. I will be working the front desk, and also have Manager Duties as well from time to time. The first two weeks will just be basic front desk training, and then I will learn some of the MOD duties after that. This is a full-service hotel that is right by Six Flags. How cool is that!? The majority of the hotel's clients are families that are visiting Six Flags. It will be a nice change from the business clients that I am used to. I know I will do well.... it's just going to be such a change compared to where I come from. Sometimes you have to take that step back to move back up again in your industry and that is what I am having to do. I had three face to face interviews for jobs while not working and was offered a position at each hotel that I interviewed for. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself!
So today is my last day at home with my baby girl. We are hanging out and watching some movies on Netflix via Wii. Fun!

Awww She's soooooo cute!!! And I love that boy wall hanging. I just got tons of stuff for my daughter's new bedroom when we move in 2 weeks, but the boys have nothing. I think they will actually keep stuff on their walls now finally. Before everything I hung up, they'd rip down and destroy! I couldn't even keep mini blinds or shades on their windows! Maybe I will make them stuff. It'll be easy, their bedroom is cars, trucks, trains, monster trucks...the whole vehicle thing!
Oh and congrats on your new job! Other than being a stay at home mom I haven't had a job outside my home in almost 11 years!
