Indulge Your Imagination.... Altered Canvas

I've found a new love... canvas with Gesso and glimmer mist. Yum.... add some Mod Podge and you have an awesome creation!! I'm really in love. I created this for Serenity's room. It was super easy to create! I took a canvas and covered it in two coats of Gesso. I applied it very thick to add texture. I also sprinkled some very fine, white, crystal glitter in for even more texture. I did two coats of this. After both coats of Gesso had dried, I used two different blue shades of Glimmer Mist to make it look like a sky. After the Glimmer Mist had dried, I applied my paper pieced hot air balloons. (The paper is Pink Paislee,  from the "Forever Love"  Lucky Girl Crafts kit.) The pattern I used is from Scrapbooks Etc. for the balloons. I applied the patterned paper to corrugated cardboard for depth and used distress ink on the edges. After searching for the right quote, I printed the quote in a cute little font and used my Mod Podge to apply it. I then covered the rest of the canvas in my matte Mod Podge to protect it. I'm not going to lie... I love how it turned out. Serenity loves it... Keith thinks it is great too!

What do you think??
