30 Days of Truth Day 11

Day 11 → Something people seem to compliment you the most on.

People who just meet me compliment me most on my eyes. I have big, dark brown eyes. I have been told they are almost black depending on who the person is. My children have the same eyes. Both have big, brown eyes... they are very pretty. I have never needed eyeliner when I use eye makeup. If I do use eyeliner, my eyes seem to look even bigger.  I guess I have pretty eyes. I've never had a problem with them. I do have medical problems with my eyes. I wear contacts. If I don't have my contacts in, I can't see anything. My eyesight is that bad. It's funny how I get compliments on my eyes, yet those eyes that are apparently so pretty, don't work for sh!t. LOL. Who would have thought? I suppose that's how it works though, right? 

For those who know me well, they know that I love to sing, and I get compliments on my singing voice, which is nice. I have won awards over the years and had some fairly big performances. I once opened for Joe Diffie 

 when I was in High School.... if you don't know who he is.... you can click on the following link via Amazon and listen to clips of some of his songs....
He was big in the 90's, but then faded away. I performed a couple of times at the venue where I opened for him. It was called Nashville North USA, in Taylorville, IL. I don't think it is even open anymore.... (pause for internet search) Okay, I'm pretty sure it is closed now. Anyway, I performed there several times while in High School. I had to give them a demo tape to see if they would want me to perform with their House Band. Obviously, they liked me enough to have me perform there a few times. I also sang at the Illinois State Fair a couple of times. I love to sing... I don't think I am that bad... it's always nice to have someone tell you that you are good. Sometimes compliments are a good thing. I know I am not the best, but I know that I am not the worst..... guess that's okay, right?
