Top Ten Tuesday

Today's top ten are ten of the craziest/oddest things I've seen while working in the hotel industry.....

1. Naked man locked out of his room by his wife because he couldn't "perform"
2. Drunk bride passed out and brought into hotel by groom on luggage cart.
3. Flood caused by guest who hung their clothes on a sprinkler head.... flooded two floors....not cool.
4. Swingers party... interesting for sure.
5. Old woman who loved to call 911 to use them as her taxi service. She was a long term guest at our hotel.
6. Guest wanting me to call the cops to get the hooker out of his room because he wanted to check out and she wouldn't leave.
7. Long term guest checked out and wanted us to ship his stuff back to him. Watched my manager pull a blanket out of the closet and a toy that was a replica of the female privates came flying out at her.... she had NO clue what it was. Not only that, but it hit her in the head.
8. Tree fell down during a huge storm and crushed two guest cars. Tree was in the neighboring businesses yard.
9.Fire alarm went off 4 times in one night... because of malfunction... talk about a way to make guests mad!
10. Former staff member tried to rob hotel. After first time, they tried again and actually did it.

Note: not all of these occured at the same hotel. I have been in this industry for almost ten years, so I have been at more than one hotel... and no, I will NOT tell you the names of any of the hotels!
