Although summertime is not really my favorite season, it is a time that I enjoy a lot merely for the fact that I get more time with my children! There is so much more time to go outside and play with them! Summer in St.Louis isn't always the best though, since it gets EXTREMELY humid and icky, so we have to find outdoor activities that involve water.
There is an awesome park not far from our house called Tillis Park. It has a little water playground area where water comes from the ground out of all of these spouts. It is really cool! Litterally! LOL The kids love to go and play there, and so do we! The water playground is right next to the regular playground so the kids can run back and forth to each of them and wear themselves out.
We took Aiden, my nephew to the park a couple of weekends ago. It was his first time there, and he had a blast! He was running all around in the water, sticking his head in it, and having a good ol' time! I loved watching him have fun.... and my kiddos were having a great time too. They love their little nephew, and are really good with him. Serenity gets jealous, but that's because she isn't the baby of the house these days. ;)
As you can see from the photos, the boys really enjoyed it! I used Sketch #40 from Creative Genealogy Scrapbooking by Rowena to create this. See that border? I used one of the awesome punches I received when I guest designed for CraftySteals.com! They are just so handy! I've used them a bunch since I first got them.... Thanks again Stephanie!
What do you do to keep cool in the summer with your little ones? I'd love to hear!

Love your layout & we love spray grounds too!! They are so much fun. We don't have one around here though :( It usually doesn't get too hot and sticky here, I stress USUALLY, this summer however has been awful. We usually play outside in the morning and plan indoor things like the library in the afternoon! Or head to the community pool to keep cool (and burn off some energy!)
