I'm not a hat person at all. I have short hair and it makes my hair look like I just got out of bed.... really really bad! My daughter is sooooooooo in love with wearing them though. I have no idea where this comes from since none of us wear them. I think it's because its another accessory, and it will just add more to her ensemble for the day. So she has quite a few different hats.
When my brother moved in his stuff to store it at our place, he put his two cowboy hats down in the basement as well. Serenity found them... and picked her favorite to grab and wear around the house. Seems ok, right? NOT. She happened to pick the hat that cost $300 and was a gift for my brother from a professional rodeo man. Ok... I didn't know this! When my brother found out Renny had the overpriced hat, he flipped. (I would too, but then again, who has a $300 cowboy hat? Not in my life!) So, we swapped the pricey one for the more economical cowboy hat... and Renny has been wearing it around the house.
This particular day though, she wanted to put the cowboy hat on Aiden, her cousin and she wore her knitted cap.. and they posed! Cute, huh? I guess hat's aren't that bad... on my daughter and nephew!
