As a scrapbooker, I can get a bit carried away when it comes to taking pictures. I will fully admit that! I am banned from specific rooms in the house when it comes to taking shots, which, well, is understandable. I just thought that if it isn't in the scrapbook, then it didn't happen right?? LOL
Since I love to take pictures, I am NOT above taking self portraits. I have been doing them more lately it seems. More on my phone than anything. I really used to like the self-portraits that some, (mainly other crafters) would have as their profile photo where it is a picture of them with the camera in front of their face. I thought those were so cool... until I tired of them. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy the look... esp if it is done right, but everyone was a part of that... even myself. Yes, I am guilty of the camera in front of the face shot, as you can see below.
I may not use this photo as my profile shots anymore, but it does have meaning to me. When I take a photo, that is usually the beginning of the crafting process for me. My work starts there and then moves on to the actual creating of the layout.... so basically, it is "From Camera to Craft" for me.
I decided to use one of those infamous "camera in front of face" shots as the image for this layout. I used a sketch from Simply Scrapping Crafts owner Judy that was from a year or so ago.
