I work hard for the money!!! So hard for the money!

Well I do!! I wouldn't be working an overnight shift if I didn't need the money, right? No.... I probably would because that is just one of the many duties listed on my job description.... fill in where needed. Ah, the joys of being a manager. Ya just gotta love it, right?

We recently lost an employee which really stinks because she was one of my best employees... I miss her!! She did the overnights, and our other overnight gal moved into the full-time slot, so now I am short a part-timer for the weekends. Who in their right mind wants to work overnight on the weekends?? I know, I paint a lovely picture of the job.... I'm probably not going to get many applicants after this post. Ha!

Seriously, the job is pretty easy... mainly front desk work with lots of accounting stuck in... and you have to be able to stay up. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure there is someone out there.... anywhere? Where are you? Help! :)

I put myself on the schedule for the next few weekends until we can get someone in and trained. I have been doing interviews.... boy is that interesting. I've had some interesting ones. If you have ever interviewed applicants for a job you understand where I am coming from. You get some very very strange people. They weren't all bad, don't get me wrong, but some just didn't make sense. Not to mention, the applications themselves.... OMG. I had a whole day a week or two ago on my Facebook where I was commenting about it. I had people who couldn't spell front desk, or even their own name. Someone said they were applying for "whatever" which I have no clue if there is such a position! I had people put that they wouldn't work for less than six figures... a year!!  As front desk at a select service hotel.... ok... if I was paying that, I would be making that or more, and I can tell you, that isn't happening anytime soon!

Sorry for the rants and raves.... just doing some venting as I am working oh so hard as you can see! LOL

I hope you all got some sleep and had fantastic dreams as I was working..... hehe.
