Ok, packing really stinks.... with a capital "S".... seriously. It is nice to get it done, and have everything ready for the move this next weekend, but boy am I pooped! We got so much done today. We really "cleansed" the house so to speak. There was a lot of stuff that we had basically been hoarding down in the basement all this time that we really had no use for. It's amazing how much crap you can accumulate over almost two years living somewhere.
I had bills from years ago that had already been paid piled high in drawers and boxes.... why?? If they are paid, why on earth was I keeping them? I feel like such a pack rat. I also had clothes from high school... yes, you read right.... HIGH SCHOOL!!! Like I will ever fit into them anytime soon. Not only that, but they are from years ago, and aren't even fashionable.... geeze, why didn't I get rid of them sooner? I guess I was hoping that I would be able to fit back into them one day. LOL, sure.... in my dreams!
Needless to say, the American Red Cross is going to love us when they empty the clothes drop off box out by LeChef off of Manchester Ave this next week. We took 5 full trash bags full of stuff from myself and the kids. Keith too. He didn't have as much stuff as I did, since he is much better at getting rid of stuff. He doesn't seem to get such an attachment to his things like I do. Hehe... maybe it's a female thing.
I also said goodbye to some of the kids baby items that I had been holding on to. We aren't going to have a baby anytime soon, so it's about time that I let it go. I was keeping the stuff in case I had another child sometime in the near future. But Keith said that he would buy us new stuff when we choose to have our own little one. Yay!! No worries. It still hurts a bit though, saying goodbye.... especially since it is the stuff that my two babies used. There are memories there!
Anyway, I've taken some days off of work at the end of this week to continue on with the packing process and hopefully finish up. I have over half of my scraproom packed... and let me tell you, that is NOT cool! I am already missing some of my stuff. But I keep telling myself that this is all for the greater good.... and I will have a beautiful office all to myself again at our new place. But darn it, it is hard waiting!!!! :)
TTFN!! I need to get to bed... I work at 7 in the AM tomorrow! ( I can't wait until Beth comes back from maternity leave!!)
