It started out great, but then.....

Well, mothers day was needless to say, interesting. It started out really nice, but then just ended, well pardon my pun, but "crappy." Like I said, started out great. I went to work for a bit and then got the kids from their dad. When Billy dropped them off they had flowers and cards for me! It was really nice. When we got home,  the kids and Keith gave me my gifts from them. I got a mouse for my laptop (Yay!!) and the new Jodi Picoult book.... I was excited! Very nice. Plus the kids had made homemade cards for me as well. They were wonderful. 

We went to IL to see my parents after that. The trip there was an experience. Since Renny has not been feeling well recently, she made us stop to go to the bathroom twice. It got frustrating, because we had asked her before we left and after we stopped the first time. When we finally made it to my parents, it was nice. The kids always have such a great time on the farm. I got some fabulous pictures of the kids with the sheep feeding them corn, and also some beautiful shots of the farm. I'll have to post them soon. 

As the night wore down, all was still good, until Serenity flooded my parents bathroom somehow.... with toilet water. Ugh. Apparently there was too much toilet paper put down the toilet and it started overflowing. I ended up spending the rest of my night there, along with Keith using the shop vac to vaccuum up the water in the bathroom. And then worrying about how much damage had been done to the bathroom floor and wondering how much it was going to cost. It was a "crappy" way to end the night. (Like I said, pardon the pun) It made the whole trip home awful.  And I know that Renny and the toilet flooding was mostly my fault for leaving her in there while I went to get her a change of pants. I had helped her when she was finished with the potty, but didn't stay through her flushing. I'm assuming that she put more toilet paper down the toilet when I stepped away. Lesson learned. Never leave a three year old alone in the bathroom with toilet paper and the toilet............. ugh.
