I Heart {ippity} Blog Hop - Day Two!

Welcome to day two of the I Heart {ippity} Design Team Blog Hop! If you are following along the hop, you got here from Shellye's blog. If not, you can start at Heather's blog!

If you are not familiar with {ippity} then you are missing out!  {ippity} is a line of rubber stamps manufactured by the Unity Stamp Co.  The {ippity} line is separate from the Unity line but has the same wonderful quality,  it is marketed though Unity Endorsed {ippity} Chicks, reps for {ippity}.  Heather is an {ippity} CHICK and would love to be yours!  To order {ippity} just go to the Unity Website and on the left hand side click {ippity} - Pick a CHICK & Order.  That will take you to the {ippity} chick page where you can pick Heather Flaherty as your {ippity} Chick

I used the {ippity} set IPK-143 How YOU Doin' to create this card to send to Keith's(my boyfriend) parents who live in Ohio. We don't get to see them as often as we'd like, so I like to make them cards to write short notes in letting them know how we are doing. :)

To create this card, I used Kraft cardstock as my base and Echo Park's For the Record Collection. The hot air balloon is a sticker from the kit that I added pop dots behind so it would have some dimension. Distress ink was used around all of the papers, cardstock and stickers. I stamped my sentiment on a strip of leftover Kraft, cut out a triangle to make a little flag and then inked around the edges. Pop dots were placed around it to go along with the balloon and it's "flying" look.

You can see the shadow behind the balloon and flag showing the dimension. I've found that adding a little dimension can make a fairly simple card or layout even better. Dimension with your elements and embellishments can really make a project!
