Scenes from a Carnival

On Saturday we went to Brentwood Days. Austin was in the parade with his Scouts and so while Keith marched in the parade with him, Renny and I had some girl time while watching the parade and getting candy. And let me tell you... that little stinker of mine made out like a bandit when it came to getting candy. 

She told me the following about midway through the parade, "Mommy, all I have to do is wave and say hi to all the people in the parade and they will give me lots of candy!" OMG, she figured it out! How funny... and it was the truth. We were not far from some other kids and she definitely made out much better than all of them.  She had a great time, and was kind enough to share her candy with her brother since he was giving it out and not getting any during the parade. 

After the parade we went home to rest before the carnival, and then went back to ride some rides and have some carnival food. The whole time I didn't feel the best since I was apparently getting sick and didn't realize how sick I was getting. I'm sick from work today if that says anything.... yuck. 

So I thought I would share some of the pictures from our day at the parade and carnival. We had a great time and can't wait until next year where we can do this again. 

I should add that the Brentwood Days is totally free... doesn't  cost you anything to ride any of the rides... you just get in line and get on! I'm not used to this. The only stuff you pay for are the food and drinks! Talk about a nice deal! I'm used to paying like $20 or more for 15 tickets where it takes 2-3 per ride per person! Not here though!

This was a neat thing for kids with the plastic ball pit and stuff... although it makes me wonder how many germs are in those things! Ewww!
