The world is full of highly intelligent people, I know this, you know this.... however, why does it seem that the idiots cross your path more than the highly intelligent ones??
Example:
We had a delivery come in today for the hotel and the guy driving the box truck decided that he could pull up under the canopy in front of our hotel by the main entrance. Bad idea. The clearance is 11'8". Later I find out that his truck is 11'8". Seriously. He really thought it could fit??? Yup, he did. We didn't realize what was happening until we heard the boom and saw chunks of plaster falling from the canopy. AHHHHHHHH!!! How frustrating!! He then didn't know what to do! Plus, he didn't want to give out any info on himself. Um, well, the company's number and name is on the side of the truck. He also didn't want us to get the plate number... no worries, I got photographs of everything!!! Ha!!

I have my idiot of the day story now.... how is your day going? what is the most idiotic thing someone has done where you work??

wow we have idiots like that too. But mine idiot moment was more personal. My daily manager who I don't get along with and didn't long before she became the manager over heard me talking to my other manager about buying my husband a flatscreen t.v. for xmas. I even specifically told her it was a SURPRISE...first one ever in our marriage for a gift. What does she do at our Christmas party 2 weeks before......walks in after being at another party and having a few drinks. Heard people talking about cable. We were talking about how the cable company swithed channels and now has them in the 1,000. WEll she thought we were talking about price and in front of everyone including my husband pointed at me and said I didn't pay $1,000 for my flat screen t.v., did you? SERIOUSLY...everyone just looked. And my other managaers mouth dropped open. I could have jumped across the table and choked her.
Oh Emily!! I'm sorry that happened, that sucks! Hopefully they will pay to fix it though! What a DOPE!!

I'm sure I have an idiot story to tell from somewhere along the lines, but just can't think of one right off the top of my head lol...I'll have to come back if I do! Hope your day is better Em!
