The Coffee Fiasco

Onto the coffee fiasco.... at work we always have coffee available for our guests. It is a requirement of Hampton. We have Regular, Decaf and Robust out at all times, along with Hot Water. The woman who does breakfast has been doing it for quite some time now. Apparently though, she has been a bit confused.

One of my front desk staff and I went to the kitchen for something, and we noticed that the coffee order had been delivered. What we noticed more than anything, was the amount of Decaf coffee that had been ordered by our breakfast gal. It was UNREAL. There was enough Decaf coffee to get us through until the end of the year! And not enough of the Robust. So when the breakfast gal came in the next morning, my front desk clerk asked why on earth had she ordered so much Decaf. The breakfast gal said, "That's not Decaf, that's Robust!" My clerk (who used to be the full-time breakfast gal) laughed and said, "Um, no, that is Decaf, see?" as she pointed to the side of the boxes that all were clearly labeled Decaf coffee. The breakfast gal said, "Oh my gosh, I have been making the Decaf as Robust and the Robust as the Decaf!!" LMAO.... our poor poor guests.... when they thought they were getting Decaf coffee, they were actually getting the coffee with the most caffeine! Yikes!! Talk about a mess up!

We now have everything straightened out... thank goodness. Who knows what would have happened had it gone on any longer.
